Switchback PT is proud to also serve as the Run Leaders for the Seattle chapter of Run Talk Run (RTR). RTR is a global nonprofit aiming to make both running and mental health support less intimidating and more accessible. Run and talk, free from judgement or competition, with our community running groups. Discussing mental health still remains taboo. You might have a feeling that you need somewhere to talk, but you don’t necessarily want to go to a GP or a therapist. RTR believes that peer support and community can help, and running/jogging facilitates those conversations for us. There are so many reasons why running makes it easier to open up. We are FREE to attend, for ALL abilities. We run as slow as the slowest runner. They are fueled by a community of passionate volunteers working to promote and protect the outdoors for our current and future generations to enjoy. Conservation and responsible recreation are the emphases of this nonprofit. We appreciate their numerous trips and classes for all ages and experience levels, from absolute beginners with a desire to get outside, to experienced outdoor adventurers. Their trips range from very easy to strenuous, and everything in between.
